The establishment of the Kolb-Proust Archive in 1993 consecrated the work of an exceptional man, Philip Kolb, who, in the course of sixty years of tireless research, compiled and published one of the most voluminous sets of a writer's correspondence that the recently ended century has known-that of Marcel Proust.
